Things are about to take a big change at Dallas County Speedway.  As of Thursday May 8^th Bill Allen, builder and 10 year operator has leased the track to Scotty Allen, owner of Allen Autosports of Urbana, MO.  Scotty has some big changes in store for the track.  The first is a race night change to Sunday evening.  With all the competition in the area it only makes sense.  Monett Speedway, Double X Speedway and Butler Motor Speedway are all over 100 miles away and will not interfere with each other. Scotty also has some track improvements planed that will be put in place during the season. There will be no racing this Friday night at Dallas County Speedway.  The new racing season will begin on Sunday May 18 with hot laps at 4:15pm with racing to start at 5:00.  Classes will include A-Modifieds, Factory Stocks, and Pure Stocks along with B-Modifed and Super Stocks alternating each Sunday night. On opening night all classes will be racing.  In the next few days a schedule will be posted at www.dallascountyspeedway.net and at www.southwestmissouriracing.com .
